You may read, print and share these pages freely, including with clients, colleagues and family. You may quote from them with attribution and a link. You may not republish substantial parts as your own, and you may not present this material as advice you are giving to somebody else, which for immigration content is a licensing matter as well as a copyright one.
Information, not advice
This is the distinction the whole site is built around.
Information explains how a rule works in general. Advice applies a rule to your particular circumstances and tells you what to do. In New Zealand, giving immigration advice without a licence or an exemption is an offence under the Immigration Advisers Licensing Act 2007.
These pages are written as information. Reading them does not create an adviser and client relationship with ProVisas, and nothing here takes your own situation into account, because it is not known to us. Facts that seem minor routinely change the answer in immigration matters, which is why general information can never substitute for someone reading your documents.
Where you need that, it needs a licensed adviser or a New Zealand lawyer, and it becomes a separate engagement on separate terms.
Accuracy, and the limits of it
Immigration rules, fees, thresholds and processing times change, sometimes at short notice and sometimes without transitional arrangements.
Every page here carries the date its immigration facts were last checked against Immigration New Zealand, and links to the source. We deliberately avoid printing figures that change, for exactly this reason. Even so, a page may be out of date by the time you read it.
Where anything on this site conflicts with Immigration New Zealand, Immigration New Zealand is correct. Check the current requirement at the source before acting on anything here, particularly before spending money or resigning from a job.
No outcome is promised
Nothing on this site is a promise, prediction or guarantee about the outcome of any visa application. Immigration New Zealand decides applications, and nobody else, including a licensed adviser, controls that. Any website that guarantees a visa is telling you something untrue.
